Walker Hayes: ‘Craig’ Single Review

The second single off Walker Hayes’ debut album ‘Boom’ is called ‘Craig.’ This song has a unique tone and does not sound like anything else currently playing on country radio. It showcases a different side of Hayes following the sassy upbeat hit, ‘You Broke Up with Me.’  ‘Craig’ is a meaningful spoken word ballad about a very special man in Walker Hayes’ life.

The song introduces the man Craig whom Hayes met at church.  Hayes tells how he didn’t quite fit in and Craig befriended him.  Craig became part of Hayes’ life in-and-out of the church. After losing a record deal, Hayes was required to return a car that his family relied upon.  Craig, seeing his need, showed up with a set of keys and a used car that would fit Hayes’ entire family.  All Hayes had to do was accept it. Hayes did not want to admit his need, but his family’s came first.  Hayes sings, my pride was way too ashamed to be adequately grateful at the moment. Fans are able to connect with artists through their lyrics and Walkers ability to be open and share his authentic story allows for his listeners to get to know him better.

Walker Hayes voice is smooth and the spoken word grabs your attention.  Even though the song has a nice steady beat, listeners will find themselves listening to the story while they are tapping their toes.  Everyone feels like they do not fit in at some point and through these meaningful lyrics, Hayes’ vulnerability is exposed and shared through his talented song writing. His happiness and sadness is accentuated through the piano stringing the chorus and the continuing story. His life hasn’t always been perfect but thanks to people in his life like Craig, he has found a path to success. This is just the beginning of Walker Hayes’ story and it will be exciting to hear what he does next!

Favorite Lyrics: Yeah, I know, he sounds cool, right? Not your typical kid from Sunday School, right? I still ain’t figured out church yet but, Craig, I get.

Cassadee Pope: ‘Take You Home’ Single Review

The Voice season three winner, Cassadee Pope, released a highly anticipated single, ‘Take You Home,’ on Friday, March 30th. This was the first taste of new music from the singer in almost two years. The single is a new sound and shows the growth she has made during her hiatus. She is now an independent artist and put out the new song with no record label. This is a brave decision but has paid off big time for Pope.  The song begins with a bang as the percussion immediately grabs your attention before the story begins.

‘Take You Home’  is a song about a potential relationship.  When you hear the title you may have assumptions about the meaning of the song but the lyrics tell another story. I wanna take you home and I ain’t talking about a two mile ride back to my place. Pope tells the story of wanting to take this person home to meet her family and to see where she came from. She talks about meeting someone and having an instant connection but wanting to have a meaningful relationship. Showing someone the church you went too, your high school football field and back roads you used to drive is personal.  That’ll tell you everything you need to know about me and why I talk like I do and why I’m falling for you and why I take it slow. I wanna take you home.

Emily Weisband, Ben Hayslip and Paul DiGiovanni are the writers behind this single.  Pope delivers their lyrics with her sultry voice and unique sound. You can watch Cassadee Pope on The Voice this season as she mentors Kelly Clarkson’s team.  Hopefully ’Take You Home’ is just a taste of more new music to come!

Favorite Lyrics: I ain’t tryna jump the gun. Sure ain’t tryna make you run but the second I saw you I knew I had to get you alone.

Jordan Davis Is Killing It and We’re So Happy To See It

We often find an artist, recognize the talent and/or stage charisma, and latch on to them. We did it before with a little group you may have heard of before named Old Dominion. We interviewed them before they even had a FM radio single and were probably one of the few people who knew who they were when they played at House of Blues Boston opening for Chase Rice. Jordan Davis is the another artist that falls into the category. He is one of the hottest names in the impressive group of up-and-coming country artists- and he’s absolutely killing it and us here at NECM are so happy to see it.

We first got introduced to Jordan Davis when he opened for Chase Rice and The Cadillac Three in Lowell, MA in 2015. Being the opening act is not the easiest of tasks as you’re generally playing for a fairly empty room as many fans have not made it into the building yet or are still getting their first round of beers and snacks. But that didn’t stop Davis from taking the stage with a beard you couldn’t forget and a set that shouldn’t be missed. He played as if it was a full room and he was the headliner.

Last year, he took over NECM’s Instagram during his day at the 2017 Tortugafest. He had one of the early slots in the day and again faced the challenge of seeing more sand on the Fort Lauderdale beach than fans’ faces- a challenge of an early slot on the first day of a 3-day festival. But again, he rocked it.

First, let’s fast forward to June of 2017. Jordan released his debut single to country radio, called ‘Singles You Up.’ Now let’s fast forward to today. ‘Singles You Up’ is one of the biggest songs on country radio, currently sitting at Number Two on the charts- with a strong chance it goes to Number One… And let’s put into context that it’s Luke Bryan sitting in front of Jordan on the charts… LUKE BRYAN!

And a couple weeks ago, Jordan released his debut album, titled ‘Home State,‘ which we guarantee you will be on our year-end list of our favorite albums of the year. You can check out our album review here.

And lastly, Jordan has been selling shows like CRAZY including several sell outs as a headliner. This past weekend was probably a full-circle moment as Jordan returned to Tortuga and he experienced a whole different environment than he did last year. The crowd was absolutely PACKED for Jordan’s set- as far as the eye can see. And when Jordan played ‘Singles You Up’ for the Tortuga crowd, well, check it out for yourself…

That’s a hair-raising badass moment that we’re sure Jordan will never forget. In a year’s time, Jordan released his debut single, his debut album, sold out shows, and had a massive crowd sing back the words of his song, currently sitting at Number Two on the charts, back to him. And we’re totally stoked to see it as we were big believers in Jordan going back to 2015.

Keep it up, JD. We’re proud to see how far you’ve come, you absolutely deserve it, and how much further you’ll go in the next few years.

ABC Tries to Recapture the Magic of American Idol

The long-awaited season premiere of American Idol aired on ABC on Sunday, March 11th. This marked the first time that Idol returned to TV since 2016, when it wrapped up a fifteen year run on FOX. Just when we thought Idol was gone for good, ABC announced last year that they would revive the show for a 16th season much to the delight of fans. However, with this announcement came a lot of uncertainty. Would the format of the show remain the same? What would the chemistry be like between the judges? Would the show see the same success that it saw during its heyday? While we can’t completely answer all of these questions after the first few weeks, we did get a glimpse of what’s to come this season.

American Idol travelled to music hotspots New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Nashville to search for the top singers in the country. One of the best things about Idol is that it gives aspiring musicians, who might otherwise go unnoticed, a platform to showcase their skills. We’ve seen hopefuls from all walks of life try to earn that coveted golden ticket to Hollywood. It’s so uplifting to watch people get an opportunity to live their dreams after years of hard work. So far, the talent has been undeniable. Over the course of the first few rounds of competition there have been several amazing vocalists and inspiring performances. Some of the top contenders are Dennis Lorenzo, Layla Spring, Alyssa Raghu, Shannon O’Hara, Dominique, and Marcio Donaldson. Country singers Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Trevor McBane have also given us some fantastic performances and have a great chance at making it into the Top 14.

The judges are just as important to the success of American Idol as the contestants are. Nothing will ever compare to the original judging panel of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson, however this season’s judges are doing their best to leave their own mark on the show. Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan have great chemistry together. Their unique, fun personalities complement each other very nicely. They definitely know how to keep us entertained. We’ve seen everything from them playing pranks on one another to dancing and taking selfies with the contestants. Despite all of the fun, the judges are focused on finding top-notch talent to return American Idol to what it once was. Luke Bryan told reporters at a press conference in January, “that makes us focus harder as a judging panel because there are a few years where you don’t really remember those contestants. We want it to be right back to where American Idol is known for, building those American idols. And it’s each of us sitting around going, ‘Is this person going to be what we want them to be?’”

In addition to the judges, several artists, many of whom have country ties, are slated to make guest appearances on the show. Cam and Sugarland are performing with the top 24 contestants during the duet round. Country radio personality Bobby Bones will serve as the chief mentor for this season; while former Idol Scotty McCreery has also signed on to take part in a mentorship role.

American Idol has been a game changer for the music industry, especially country music. It’s given us superstar Carrie Underwood as well as rising artists Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, who are both on pace to have career years. Reigning Idol Trent Harmon is also well on his way to making a name for himself in country music. Will a new country star emerge from this season’s crop of talent? We’ll find out. For now, we get to sit back and watch to see if ABC can recapture the magic of one of the most iconic shows in television history.

Jason Aldean: ‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ Single Review

‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ is the third single that Jason Aldean has released from his upcoming album, ‘Rearview Town.‘  The rest of the album is set to be released on April 13th. With the recent release of singles ‘Rearview Town’ and ‘You Make it Easy,’ two slower and more sentimental songs, it was only a matter of time before Jason revealed something from this album that will get fans pumped up. ‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ is exactly that. It is the perfect song for a pregame, tailgate, or drive to a party.

The opening rock instrumental of this song hits hard; with electrifying guitar and pounding drums, it does not let up. The song’s high energy is infectious. ‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ presents not only a cross between country and rock, but also includes some rap for a mix that only Jason Aldean can pull off. Yes, you did read that correctly, country, rock, and rap. Jason Aldean is back to rapping in this song, similar to what he put forth in his previous hit, ‘Dirt Road Anthem.’ The country superstar raps a single verse; Gettin’ warmed up and gettin’ started, Everybody in here came to party, You need a good time, well I brought it, Hands up in the air if you want it, Yeah the speakers are here and they turned up, Cups filling, we mixed up the good stuff, Who’s setting it off, you know that’s us, Y’already know we gettin’ warmed up.

‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ paints a simple picture of a fun night of partying that just does not stop. The lyrics, We showed up here when the sun went down, Hit it hard, kicked it off right, You think by now we’d be heading out, Hanging it up and calling it a night, But we’re just getting warmed up, open the song. Whether played as an opener or a mid-set song, ‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ is sure to get the crowd going during a show. With buzz words like fired up and hands up in the air included throughout the song, it would seem that songwriters Josh Mirenda, Jaron Boyer, and Cole Taylor perfectly crafted the song for a Jason Aldean concert. Perhaps the single seems to fit so well into Jason’s repertoire because of the similarities it has with his previous hit ‘Just Gettin’ Started;’ even the titles are very similar. ‘Gettin Warmed Up’ also features the lyrics just gettin’ started in its chorus. The similarities of the songs go deeper, with both having themes about having a great time. It is intuitive to picture Aldean performing with some pyrotechnics bursting in the background while fans go wild for this song. It would not be a surprise to see the catchy single become a summer party anthem.

You have options if you are looking to catch Jason Aldean on his upcoming High Noon Neon tour with Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.  He will be performing in New England on May 25th at the XFINITY  Theatre in Hartford, CT; May 26th at the XFINITY Center in Mansfield, MA; and May 27th at Darling’s Waterfront Pavillion in Bangor, ME.

Favorite Lyrics:  Another double shot of crazy in cup…

You can purchase ‘Gettin’ Warmed Up’ on iTunes, and keep up with everything Jason Aldean on his WebsiteFacebookInstagram, or Twitter.

Muscadine Bloodline: ‘Can’t Tell You No’ Single Review

Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton together make Muscadine Bloodline.  A name that stems from their Southern roots and their love of music. Although they both grew up in Mobile, Alabama and pursued their passion of music, they didn’t become a duo until 2016.  In 2017, they debuted their first self titled EP and have been writing songs that you can relate to ever since. ‘Can’t Tell You No,’ released in early March, is the most recent single off their soon to be released second EP.  The guys shared that ‘Can’t Tell You No’ is their take on ‘a swanky, sexy, love song.’

While ‘Can’t Tell You No’ has a different vibe than most, it still tells a story. Stanton and Muncaster tell us how much they’d do for love.  Whether it’s cancelling plans with friends, watching The Bachelor, even though it’s The Bachelor, or dancing, although they have two left feet, it’s no problem.  Love will cause them to do whatever she wants to do, listen to whatever she wants to listen to and go wherever she wants to go because they just can’t say no.

There new EP,’Movin’ On,’ is set to be released on April 27th however, if you are headed to Tortuga Fest this weekend, keep an eye out for this duo. They will be taking the stage on Sunday and fingers crossed, they will play ‘Can’t Tell You No’ for you! If you are aren’t part of the lucky few who will be on the beach this weekend, give it a listen here!

Their songwriting is inspiring but their R. Kelly and Adele covers are pretty entertaining as well, check them out now!

Favorite Lyric: I can tell you, who’s left standing on the bachelor, oh I can tell you that there’ll be laughter from my buddies making fun of me.

Ryan Hurd: ‘Diamonds or Twine’ Single Review

Ryan Hurd has written songs for country artists Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, Maren Morris, Jake Owen, Lindsay Ell, Eli Young Band, Dierks Bentley and the list continues.  Hurd decided to take an extra step of not only just writing songs but decided to he wanted to record.  Hurd released his self-titled EP in 2017. His single ‘Love in a Bar’ is about his relationship that developed with Maren Morris after being creative partners.  Little did they know ‘Love in a Bar’ would turn into something so much larger.

Hurd and Morris recently became newlyweds and the love between the two is so simple and genuine which Hurd sings about in his new single ‘Diamonds or Twine.’  And just like the newlyweds, ‘Diamonds or Twine’ has history.  This single was cowritten with Laura Veltz and Mark Trussel however, the lyrics come straight from Hurd’s heart.  Hurd had originally played it for Morris the night they were engaged. And this past Friday, March 23, the day before their wedding, ‘Diamonds or Twine’ was released as a gift to the bride-to-be. Talk about raising the bar!

‘Diamonds or Twine’ is all about love and finding that person who is your “no-matter-what.” With lyrics that replicate wedding like vows, Hurd professes his forever love and promises when the bad times come I ain’t gonna run.  It’s poetic and real. Hurd tells Sirius XM The Highway that the hook, doesn’t matter if it’s diamonds or twine I’ll be wrapped around your finger is another way of saying for rich or for poor.  Simply ‘diamonds, meaning if we have everything, and in twine, meaning if we don’t.’

Hurd’s raspy voice paired with the soft melody and electric guitar, ‘Diamond or Twine’ has a slow rock feel.  You won’t want to stop listening to this love ballad.  Share with someone you love and give it a listen here!

Favorite Lyric: You make love feel so real, so simple and honest. It’s in every breath and every kiss…

For a ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere,’ We Think Ashley McBryde is Goin’ Straight to the Top

Ashley McBryde is a name you’ve probably been hearing a lot more frequently in the world of country music. The Arkansas native has been making waves since her debut on country radio back in October 2017 as the most added new artist and most added female with her single, ‘A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega.’ The single hit No. 1 on SirusXM’s The Highway Top 30, and Ashley made her television debut performing the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers in January. Her raw, honest lyrics and rockin’ sound has won the hearts of countless fans, and McBryde’s talent has been advocated by some of the genre’s biggest names. She’s had the opportunity to share the stage with artists like Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Chris Stapleton, and Eric Church who’s referred to Ashley as a “whiskey drinking badass.” She also caught our attention as we named her one of our Artists to Watch in 2018 for all of the above reasons and then some. We’ve already watched her find great success with her debut single, and now we’re patiently waiting for Ashley’s debut album, set to be released on March 30th.

The record, titled ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere,’ features 11 songs and was produced by Jay Joyce, who’s had success working with artists like Eric Church, Brandy Clark, and Little Big Town. “Working with Jay Joyce is like working with a mad scientist, in the coolest way,” McBryde raved. She described how Joyce has the ability to take songs that Ashley and her band already loved and bring a new life to them. “He’ll just make this one little tweak that changes everything about the song and it takes it from being a good song to a great song, or from a great song to an icon that you can wrap an identity around.” Of the 11 songs on the record, McBryde had a hand in writing each and every one. “There’s a few different groups of writers. Nicolette Hayford is a writer on a bunch of them. We produce really well and we’re not afraid to hurt each other’s feelings in the writing room, or in life. Jeremy Bussey is a co-writer on ‘Girl Goin Nowhere,’” she said, adding that they actually wrote that song the day they met. “Ever since, he’s continued this theme of being able to talk to you for about an hour and make you cry, and then when he sees that, whatever that is, that string that tugs in your gut when your throat tightens up and you think you’re going to tear up, he can see that – or smells it I’m not sure which one – then he goes for it like a great white.” And as intense as it sounds, McBryde insists that it makes for great songwriting. Not to mention it’s “cheaper than therapy,” she laughed. “And sometimes you get to drink beer while you do it, too!”

Having a strong personal connection to her songs makes it all the more rewarding when she see reactions and gets responses from her fans. For McBryde, it’s worth more than any chart success. Ashley shared a couple incredible stories that have had a particularly strong impact on her. One was an email from a guy in South America who had been in a bad car accident, “I think it was a hip he broke and he had collapsed both lungs,” McBryde explained. “And he said, ‘When I was able to speak and they took tubes out and I asked my nurse what is that song she had been humming, and it was your song. So I downloaded it and I’ve been listening to it and it’s been helping me through my recovery to keep my head focused on healing.’” Another story started with a simple Snapchat from a young girl, Ashley recalled. “She snapped me and said, ‘Hey, your song saved my life.’ So I snapped back and was like, ‘What do you mean? How did my song save your life,’ and she texted back and said, ‘I was listening to your song and it kept me from taking a phone call from my abusive ex,’” Ashley told us. “To have real proof of a real human being that those words impacted them in a moment of vulnerability, that is insane.” It’s one (very good) reason Ashley will always remain true to herself in her music.

Staying genuine is important both lyrically, in the stories McBryde tells, and in the music itself. Ashley’s style has often been compared to artists like Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton. “It’s good company to be in. If you’re going to lump some artists together to put Miranda and Stapleton and me in the same group, I’ll take it. I’m really admirers of both,” she said. But when putting this album together, the sound of the end result actually kind of surprised her. “It’s got a little bit more rock and roll than even I expected to come out on this record,” she said, making her own comparison to the Southern Rock sound of the Allman Brothers. “Southern rock doesn’t really exist anymore and I would not classify this as southern rock, but a little more on the rock side of country.”

Ashley’s music is undoubtedly a far cry from the light and bubbly pop-country we hear so frequently coming through our radio airwaves – but that’s okay. “There’s a lot of people that are angry at pop country and I did my fair share of hating on it, but I don’t begrudge anybody for success. It’s not my cup of tea but I get why it works,” she explained. “Then I started thinking, we have this really good representation of female pop, and we have this weird hick-hop-rap thing… where is my Joan Jett? Where is my Pat Benatar? If we’re going to represent those we can represent this too … The way it’s going right now, country music is really taking on this task of blurring genre lines.” She referenced Zac Brown’s (incredibly awesome) project, Sir Roosevelt, “It’s so well done and well produced and well written, it should absolutely be played on country radio. All we have to do is build a bigger table and pull in more chairs. There’s absolutely room for all of it inside this genre.”

Ashley’s success so far is proof of that. She has a handful of shows lined up, including dates across the pond and an opening slot for some Miranda Lambert shows ahead of her ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere’ release on March 30th. With everything she’s already accomplished, it’s hard to imagine anything but a successful career for Ashley McBryde. We can’t wait for the album and we can’t wait to see where this girl goes.

You can follow Ashley on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

This Backstreet Boy is Headed Down a Back Road

As the lines that encapsulate the genre of country music continue to blur, we’re seeing more and more pop artists start to dip their toes into country. Artists like Nelly, Kelly Clarkson and Steven Tyler have all crossed over in one way or another. And the latest? That would be Backstreet Boy, A.J. McLean.

On Friday, March 2nd, it was announced that McLean had joined the Country Music Association in Nashville. Not a major surprise as the pop and country worlds have been colliding quite a bit these days. The former boyband member isn’t a stranger to the genre either, he’s seen success with the Florida Georgia Line + Backstreet Boys chart topper, ‘God, Your Mama, and Me,’ and spent some time out on the road with FGL on their Smooth Tour last year.

So what’s next? Well it looks like the Nashville community will be seeing a lot more of A.J. around town as all signs point to a solo country album. On March 3rd, the singer followed up the announcement with an Instagram post that pretty much confirmed what everyone was thinking. I have to say thank you to my amazing team behind me and my new journey I’m about to embark on stepping into the world of country music!” he said. He ended his post with this, “You guys are all in for a treat and I couldn’t be more proud of the music I’m doing and that a little dream is now becoming reality! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I wanna make great music and make people happy and be the first solo country artist to shake things up!”

So McLean is clearly fired up about his new project, and has a lot of backing behind him, but can a former Backstreet Boy be successful in country music? We don’t think he should be written off just yet. Even the most passive country music listener can tell that the genre is growing and evolving. Whether you like it or not, country music featuring pop influences like drum machines and synthesizers remains prevalent, despite the decline of the bro-country era. And McLean’s former tourmates, Florida Georgia Line, are no strangers to that style. It’s possible that he’s borrowed a page from their book and is headed the pop country route.

If everything works out, he wouldn’t be the first crossover to have a successful career in country music, just take a look at Darius Rucker, for example. As frontman of the Grammy Award-winning rock band, Hootie & The Blowfish, Rucker released five studio albums and charted six Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 before moving on to a solo career. In 2008, Rucker signed with Capitol Records Nashville and by 2009 he had earned three consecutive Number 1 hits. Almost ten years later and he’s still topping the charts. McLean already has a solid fan base, saying on Instagram,  “I know my fans are the best most loyal in the world and no matter what kind of music I do they will support my vision.” Not to mention he probably scooped up some country music fans through BSB’s work with FGL.

There’s also that other guy from a 90s boy band who left the group and embarked on a solo journey over 15 years ago. And although Justin Timberlake’s latest album ‘Man of the Woods’ didn’t turn out to be a country album like many speculated, (It was actually named after his son, Silas, which means “of the woods”) he still has some connections to the country world. The Tennessee native made his first appearance at the CMA awards in 1999 when Alabama and NSYNC performed their collaborative, ‘God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You.’ But more notably was Timberlake’s infamous 2015 CMA performance with Chris Stapleton. The two performed a cover of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ and Justin’s ‘Drink You Away,’ which he later released as a single to country radio. The pair reprised their collaboration recently on ‘Say Something’ – Timberlake’s most successful single from the album so far. The track was co-written by Stapleton, who also lends a pen to a couple other songs on JT’s album. For A.J. McLean, he’s successfully collaborated with Florida Georgia Line, who are pretty remarkable songwriters themselves, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the words of Brian Kelley or Tyler Hubbard wind up on McLean’s new project.

We can speculate for days about what exactly all of this will amount to, but in reality all we can do is wait and see. Since the announcement, AJ hasn’t teased much else – no word on a single or any specific dates, only this short Instagram video (with a very short audio clip) from the studio. We’re eager to hear more and can’t wait to see how McLean really “shakes things up.”

Aaron Watson: ‘Run Wild Horses’ Single Review

2017 was a big year for independent country artist, Aaron Watson. His self-penned single ‘Outta Style’ from the album ‘Vaquero‘ broke a Billboard record when it peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in late December of 2017. The song’s peak took 50 weeks to complete, marking a new Country Airplay chart record for the longest trek to a top 10 spot. Watson is looking to continue his success in 2018 with his newest single release from the album, titled ‘Run Wild Horses.’  It was released to country radio on March 3, 2018.

This single is a love song and is more importantly an ode to Watson’s wife of fifteen years. It’s a celebration of a love that is timeless and yet still as passionate as if it had just begun. The song features both the guitar and the fiddle heavily, but it’s Watson’s vocal performance that really turns the heat up. The song focuses on how freeing and passionate love can be when you let your guard down enough to set love free, So let’s break these chains and go down like the setting sun. No love don’t need these reins no we can’t be bound can’t tie us down run wild horses. The song is just two chords, but it is very sultry. It’s the kind of song you want to listen to with the windows down and the sunshine warming your skin. It will likely get quite a bit of air time as the summer draws closer and closer.

Even though Watson was a newcomer to country radio last year he has had quite the career in country music that spans 17 years with over a dozen albums and more than 2,500 shows; yet he works hard and sticks to his humble roots. He gets up every morning at 5 a.m. to write songs on an old pawnshop guitar that he purchased 20 years ago. The hard work and determination has paid off for Watson in the last couple of years. His album ‘Vaquero‘ was his biggest career sales debut to date. The album hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and was also at #2 on the Top Country Albums chart. This isn’t just a one-time thing for Watson either. He made history with his previous album, ‘The Underdog,’ in 2015 when the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. That was the first time in history that an independent, male country artist debuted at the top spot. All of his recent success has been well deserved and you can expect more great things to come from Aaron Watson.

Currently, Aaron Watson does not have any tour dates in New England.
