During an interview with ABC Radio, Preston Brust of LOCASH says: ‘We just kinda sit around and talk about all the blessings in our life. And then you try to make a little bit of a story out of it and when it comes altogether and it just makes everybody smile and drive a little faster and feel real good and roll the windows down, you know you’ve done your job.’ One little blessing in Lucas’ life was the birth of his third child in September 2017. As both Lucas and Brust are fathers, they know first hand the joy that comes with having a baby. It is meaningful that they added the lyrics: Ever hear the words “I love you Daddy” into this song. ‘Don’t Get Better Than That’ was written by Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of LOCASH, as well as Phil Barton and Lindsay Rimes. SoundslikeNashville.com reported that the song was written in Omaha, Nebraska while there for a show. Some of LOCASH’s successes include nominations for the Academy of Country Music’s New Duo or Group of 2017 and the Country Music Association Awards’ Vocal Duo of the Year of 2017.
