Jason Aldean: ‘You Make It Easy’ Single Review

Just like Tom Brady, Jason Aldean has etched himself onto the Mount Rushmore of all-time greats for his industry. His 2005 debut album opened the gates for a career that has seen him take North America by storm. From amphitheaters, arenas, stadiums, and festivals, Jason Aldean is a star. We all know of the tragic events in Las Vegas last year that occurred when Jason was on stage and one of the best ways to heal is for him to continue what he does best, play country music.

While his upbeat hits like ‘My Kinda Party’ and ‘She’s Country’ can certainly get a crowd rocking, his slower songs also bring out an equal range of emotions and ‘You Make It Easy’ does exactly that. Love will be the theme of country music in 2018 and there could not be a more appropriate song to be the lead single of his upcoming 8th album. Hearing Jason sing the words ‘you’re my sunshine in the darkest days‘ is simply powerful. Never shy to sing about his family or those he cares about, Jason is clearly head over heels for his wife and, like most men, feels she is his better half.

Jason Aldean has made plenty of slow tempo hits over the years that this song can be compared to such as ‘Tonight Looks Good on You’ off his 2014 album. ‘You Make It Easy’ has the perfect blend of lyrics that not just have meaning, but have great natural rhythm. Not all songs can be radio hits but one of Jason’s most unique skills is his ability to strike the perfect balance between meaning and commercialization. It is no wonder that many of Jason’s songs from the 2000s are playing on Sirius XM Y2Kountry, and his latest hit is sure to join that list once it is retired from the Highway, which plays current hits.

With his 2018 High Noon Tour right around the corner, it is sure to be emotional for both Jason and his fans. Joined by rising stars Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina, three New England stops are currently planned for what are sure to be fantastic shows. He will forever be linked to that fateful October night in Las Vegas. That said, all of country music is rooting for him and with the arrival of a new baby boy in December, it is safe to say that Jason Aldean’s world is filled with love.
