Garth Brooks Announces New City on His Comeback Tour

Since Garth Brooks made the huge announcement that after a multiple year hiatus he would return to touring, he has announced two cities on his upcoming comeback tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. The first two cities were Chicago and Atlanta. Due to huge demand, his stay in Chicago extended to 11 shows including multiple ‘double-headers.’ Then after tickets to his Atlanta show went on sale, he again added more shows in Georgia. Today, Garth announced a new city on his tour and unfortunately it is not Boston or anywhere close to New England. The next city on his comeback tour will be Jacksonville, Florida for three shows on October 10th through the 12th.

“This is a big deal for Jacksonville,” said Mayor Alvin Brown. “We’re honored to host music legend Garth Brooks as he embarks on his long-awaited world concert tour. He’s a fan favorite with incredible stage presence. Along with the great success of the Florida Country Superfest earlier this summer and Paul McCartney’s upcoming concert in October, it shows that Jacksonville is a premier venue for music’s top talent. We are so thrilled that Garth Brooks personally selected Jacksonville as the third stop in his history-making 2014-15 World Tour. [This is] another example of how Jacksonville is making a mark on the nation-wide entertainment scene.” Said SMG General Manager, Bill McConnell. “Garth has ensured an affordable ticket price, with multiple performances, and we have every confidence that the people of the greater Jacksonville/North Florida region will turn out with pride to support this historical run and believe fans from all over the world will travel to Jacksonville for an experience of a lifetime.”

So us folks in New England will continue to wait for the announcement of Garth’s shows at the TD Garden or another venue in the area.

Or if you want to fly to the Sunshine State, tickets will go on sale next Friday on Ticketmaster. Good luck getting tickets though! Expect heavy volume and quick sell-outs in the 15,000 seat arena.
