Chase Bryant’s ‘Little Bit of You’ Pushes for Top Spot

In just a few years, Chase Bryant has grown into a household name in the country world. It’s taken him not just across the United States, but also to other continents where he has had profound success, including Australia, where his first single, ‘Take It On Back’ went Number 1. Most recently, the 23-year-old’s hit single ‘Little Bit of You’ has been climbing the charts with no signs of stopping just yet. Bryant’s newest song has gained much recognition through country radio, where he has found ample support. A levelheaded calm came over Bryant when he talked about the ballad. “Whatever it does, I’m thankful to country radio and fans across the U.S. that I’ve got to live out what has been a top-five song.” It’s not uncommon for artists to have no idea where their song will end up, with the unpredictability music can have. “It’s a total crapshoot. You never know what a song is going to do,” Chase went on to explain. “But when a song does something like this, it’s one of those things you count your sorrows and you count your blessings. I’m really excited about and very thankful for.”

A new music video has also rocketed the popularity of the long-distance love song, a compilation that Chase called “spontaneous.” With the support of CMT, GAC, and Vevo, his story is portrayed on televisions and computers everywhere. There were no set plans for how the video was going to come out. “We just had a ton of footage for it and it just took off more than we ever thought it would,” Bryant laughed, who also gave a shout out to good friend and the video’s director, Jeff Johnson. “To see all the response for that video is a cool moment for a kid like me.” The sexy video is full of live footage from shows mixed in with tender, passionate scenes with a beautiful blonde.

Cool indeed, as Bryant has a hand in all the work he puts out, between co-producing and co-writing, adding a personal touch and experience to his accomplishments. “It’s my voice,” he proudly said, talking about a feat that not many artists do these days. “It’s who Chase Bryant really is. It’s an extra limb on my body to be able to write these songs and be a part of it. It’s something I feel is the most integral part of my career.” A career that we see is only ready to take off and reach more achievements. It has been a humble beginning for the small-town Texas native, who grew up in a family that struggled with money and got his start at three years old teaching himself to play the guitar, get this, upside down and backwards. When asked about why he chose that route to learn the strings, he laughed. “I think its purely stupidity. I’ve always taken the hardest route for certain things and that’s just the way I picked up the guitar.” His earlier path helped pave the way for his current place and time, now a guitar slinger known for his talent on the stage. “I was a kid in a room with four walls, dreaming I was playing on stage. Now I’m playing on stage imagining myself in those four walls again.” The stages get bigger and better as the months go by for the Red Bow Records artist. Having been on tours with artists like Tim McGraw, Brantley Gilbert, and Kip Moore, he shares some things he learns from each show. “You learn how much you suck at first,” he laughed, thankful at the singers who have taken him under his wing on tours. “They go on and blow crowds out of the place. They’re so good.” He continued with what may be most important in a long, tenured career. “I’ve figured out how to be honest and stay true to who I am. Crowds will find that attractive and crowds will relate to that. I’m thankful for those moments and to play these really big tours.”

Soon, on May 1st, Chase will take to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut for a quick New England stint. Quick as it may be, he let it be known how he feels about the east coast. “A lot of people say that the south is country and the west coast is relatable to country music. The east coast just has rabid fans of country music. It’s always a blast to come play up north.” We look forward to showing Chase another great time in New England. Later this year, keep your eye out for more music and a record out in the latter part of 2016. In the meantime, catch Chase’s shows around New England and be prepared to be amazed.
