RARE COUNTRY MUSIC COLLECTIBLES AT THE 13TH ANNUAL MUSIC ROW YARD SALE & AUCTION

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (May 26, 2015) The Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID) will host the 13th annual Music Row Yard Sale & Auction.  The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13th from 8AM – 2PM at the newly christened George Jones Museum located at 128 2nd Ave. N, Nashville, TN.  The Yard Sale, which runs in conjunction with CMA Music Festival, the largest country music festival in the world, allows country music fans to find treasures that are only available through this event.

Along with some of the unique items featured for purchase such as meet and greets, autographed guitars and official signage from the CMA Red Carpet, Ronnie Milsap’s tour bus will be available for purchase with more information to be released in the coming weeks.  SOLID will also be hosting an online auction in addition to the day of event where many of the big ticket items will be showcased for purchase.  Treasure’s from Country Music’s biggest stars will be available for bidding beginning on June 4, 2015 and can be found on the SOLID page at  www.charitybuzz.com.

“This is an exciting year for the Yard Sale & Auction.  We have a new location which overlooks the Riverfront Stage and allows people to catch a glimpse into the life of country music legend George Jones,” says Kari Barnhart, who is one of the main coordinators for this year’s event.  “Not to mention that festival attendees will have access to rare memorabilia that cannot be found anywhere else.  By taking the auction online, we can give fans who are not able to attend CMA Fest an opportunity to take a piece of music history home with them as well!”

Proceeds from the Yard Sale & Auction will provide SOLID with funding for educational, networking, leadership and volunteer opportunities that benefit the music industry community. This year a portion will also be donated to the official charitable partner for the Music Row Yard Sale & Auction, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which will provide monetary assistance and resources to children attending the MDA summer camp.   “The generosity of SOLID provides support to MDA families by helping to fund ground-breaking research and services as well as sending kids battling muscular dystrophy to MDA Summer Camp,” says Ashley Davis, Executive Director of MDA for Central TN & Southern KY. “This year’s fundraising success is critical to helping all families living with muscle disease to get stronger and live longer now.”

In addition, SOLID has designed specialty one-of-a-kind handbags in various sizes.  These unique bags are made from event flags from previous CMA events with a percentage of the sales going to fund Notes for Notes, a nonprofit group dedicated to providing after school music education opportunities to youth through the Boys & Girls Club.

The George Jones Museum has also partnered with SOLID to provide a promotional discounted rate for entry to the museum which is available to festival goers in attendance of the Yard Sale.  For more announcements, giveaways, discounts and one of a kind memorabilia be sure to visit SOLID’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.  Donations and volunteer signups are still being accepted.  For more information regarding all Yard Sale inquires contact [email protected].
