Fans of the country duo, Montgomery Gentry will be excited to hear new music from the group for the first time since 2011. ‘Headlights’ was released to country radio last week, and will be available for download on September 2nd. This is the first single from an upcoming album that is set to be released in early 2015. Troy and Eddie worked with song writers Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero, Tony Martin, and producer Michael Knox. Knox has worked with Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, and ABC’s hit TV Show Nashville. Troy Gentry said the new single is “definitely a standout of the songs we’ve cut with Michael Knox for our album so far. It’s such a fun song to play live, the crowds are loving it. I think this song really brings us back to our roots.”
Montgomery Gentry has recorded fourteen Top 10 songs together, including five number one singles (‘If You Ever Stop Loving Me,’ ‘Something To Be Proud Of,’ ‘Lucky Man,’ ‘Back When I Knew It All,’ and ‘Roll with Me’). If you want to hear ‘Headlights’ make sure to request the song to your local country radio station!
You can check out Montgomery Gentry when they come to New England in late September! They will be playing at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on September 26th, and at the Durham Fair on September 27th.
