Five Songs Old Dominion Wrote And Rock in Live Performances

Old Dominion is one of country’s best bands and most promising bands. Last year they won the ACM Award for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year and they’re nominated for another ACM Award this year- this time for Vocal Group of the Year. They’ve definitely conquered the spotlight in the past few years as they criss-crossed the country on various tours including two summers opening up for Kenny Chesney. Through this platform they’ve been given, the band has not only added to their growing fanbase but also been able to showcase their incredible songwriting ability.

All five members of Old Dominion write songs; however three members write songs on a near-daily basis. While lead singer, Matthew Ramsey, guitarist, Brad Tursi, and guitarist/keyboardist, Trevor Rosen, are vital members of the band they are also considered as three of the best songwriters in country music. This trio of artists has written a plethora of songs that were recorded by recording artists ranging from Kenny Chesney and Blake Shelton to Dierks Bentley, Tyler Farr, Craig Morgan and The Band Perry, among others. The catalog of songs that Ramsey, Tursi and Rosen have written is impressive. And often at Old Dominion’s live shows, generally when they have a longer set as a headlining act, the band will the various songs that they wrote and were cut by these acts. x
