Chris Lane’s second single, titled ‘For Her,’ off of his album tells the commonly heard story of a girl who makes the world of a boy turn upside down the minute he sees her. The old told legend of boy meets girl, boy gets hooked on the girl and will do anything to make sure they end up together and stay together is the main background of this song. While it may seem to appear as the traditional slow ballad or even a sad song about wanting the girl, Lane puts the lyrics to a fun, upbeat tempo which makes the listener believe that the boy is hopeful and confident in landing the girl, and can even motivate others to go out and land their own girl. This song would be a good addition to your beach or road trip playlists.
Throughout the song, Lane lists off things he would do “for her” or mentions things he adores about the girl. The chorus is used for confessing just exactly how far he would go for this girl, while the other verses are little cute things that he says he would do to make her happy.
‘For Her’ is fun to listen to and very easy to sing along with at the top of your lungs. Lane really plays on the fact that many girls dream about finding a boy who will do just about anything for them, and he explains that the girl in this song can turn his “cool into disaster” and “would change her name” if she let him.
