Albeit, the 2015 Billboard Music Awards failed to recognize any of country’s best in most of the all-genre categories, with the lone nomination of a country act in an all-genre category being Florida Georgia Line for Top Duo/Group. Otherwise, no country act was recognized as a nominee for Top Artist, Top New Artist, Top Male Artist, or Top Female Artist or other categories that are not limited to one genre, which is a crying shame. We can only hope for one day that the wealth of country music talent is recognized by these all-genre awards organizations as much as they so rightfully deserve.

Either way, tune into ABC on May 17th from 8-11 PM for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
