Thomas Rhett: ‘Craving You’ Single Review

On March 31st Thomas Rhett gave fans a listen into his forthcoming album upon the release of his latest single, ‘Craving You.’ Rhett is arguably one of the hottest acts in country today, but to raise the bar a little higher he’s accompanied on the track by Maren Morris, whose career has skyrocketed in the past year. “Maren adds such life and intensity to the lyrics,” he stated, and we couldn’t agree more – Morris was the perfect addition. The two young stars don’t disappoint in this high energy, undeniably catchy hit.

Both singers have never shied away from allowing some pop sounds into their music and ‘Craving You’ is no exception. The up-tempo single has clear 80s vibes – an element that Rhett loves about it. He has a tendency to gravitate towards the pop side of the country spectrum and has clearly seen great success in doing so. We wouldn’t be surprised to see ‘Craving You’ spilling over onto pop radio like some of Rhett’s other past singles. Nevertheless, we can’t get enough of this song.

‘Craving You’ is centered on the idea of being addicted to someone, no matter how much you get, they always leave you wanting more. It’s about a love you just can’t quit – and we’ll bet you won’t want to quit listening to it either. It’s one of those songs has you hooked from the first listen, that you’ll want to immediately drop into a playlist. The song is fresh, fun and sexy, heating things up just in time for the warmer months ahead. As the first taste of Rhett’s third album, this song definitely leaves us craving more!
