Platinum-selling country star Scotty McCreery is in the midst of his first headlining tour appropriately named the See You Tonight Tour. He’ll be bringing special guest Danielle Bradberry with him when the tour stops at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT, on Thursday, December 4th.
This won’t be just any concert as it will be a special 12.14 Foundation Benefit concert as Scotty is a National Goodwill Ambassador for the Newtown, CT based foundation. Fans will have the opportunity to meet McCreery as he will host a VIP pre-show party to benefit the foundation. This will allow fans who buy the VIP ticket packages the chance to hear Scotty perform in an intimate acoustic setting, take part in a Meet & Greet and enjoy some appetizers and beverages.
“When I realized we were coming to Connecticut, I knew I wanted to do something special to support the 12.14 Foundation and this was the perfect opportunity,” said McCreery. “I am looking forward to the event and hope we raise some awareness for this remarkable organization and have a great time in the process.” Scotty has made numerous visits to Newtown to meet with families there, since the 2012 shooting tragedy which devastated the town and shocked the nation.
Tickets for this great cause will be available for purchase (with two ticket options) starting this Friday, September 26 at 10:00 AM EST. You can buy tickets here. Prices range from $35 – $55 (additional fees apply).
A limited number of the VIP Pre Show Party Package tickets will be available for $150 (additional fees apply). These should be a quick sell-out as New Englanders always support and take care of their own.
Scotty McCreery won the tenth season of American Idol and his sophomore album, See You Tonight debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts. The album includes both his Gold-certified, Top 10 hit ‘See You Tonight’ and his current single, ‘Feelin It.’ The Breakthrough Artist winner at the 2013 American Country Awards has sold out more than 20 dates since the beginning of his See You Tonight Tour back in January.
Keep up to date with him on Twitter, Facebook, and on his website.
The 12.14 Foundation was created with the ultimate goal of building a landmark, multi-purpose performing arts and education center of historical significance in Newton as a beacon of hope and positive change for use by and to benefit people everywhere. Currently the foundation works in conjunction with experts from the Yale University School of Management to provide leadership training for Newtown students.
