National Concert Day: NECM’s Top Five Regional Concerts of 2015

As yesterday was the inaugural National Concert Day, celebrated by LiveNation, artists, and fans alike, we took some time to think of the five concerts in New England that we are most excited for in 2015. Check out our picks and tell us what concerts you’re most excited for in the comments section below.

5.) Lady Antebellum, Sam Hunt, and Hunter Hayes– The strength of this line-up is the biggest thing about this show. Lady A puts on a great show by themselves as they played the TD Garden last year and completely impressed us. For their 2015 Wheels Up tour, add in the super talented Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt, possibly the biggest artist in the genre over the past year, and you have one incredible lineup. Unlike most shows, fans will forego the extra 30 mins of tailgating to make sure to be inside the venue for this lineup as it is good from top to bottom.

The Wheels Up show in Mansfield is SOLD-OUT, but there are still plenty of tickets for the show in Hartford.

4.) Zac Brown Band at Fenway Park– The thing about Zac Brown Band as they just know hits. Every song they release seems to reach the number one spot and they did just that with ‘Homegrown,’ the first single off their most recent album. The band has a rabid fanbase and they return to the Cathedral of Boston, aka Fenway Park, for the second consecutive year. And this year, they have three shows, after the first two sold out within minutes.

The first two shows for ZBB at Fenway Park are SOLD-OUT, but tickets for the show on Sunday, August 9th can be purchased here.

3.) Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Maddie and Tae, Canaan Smith, and Michael Ray at Mansfield’s Xfinity Center– Similiar to Lady A’s Wheels Up tour, the strength of the lineup is the most impressive thing about this show. Not only did Dierks recruit Kip Moore, who has a rabid following and has done some of his own headlining before, but also the popular duo in Maddie & Tae, and the rising Canaan Smith. This show will act as WKLB’s Festival this year, in which they also are bringing up Michael Ray to play the side stage. This show will be fantastic from side stage to main stage, from top to bottom.

Tickets for the Sounds of Summer tour at the Xfinity Center can be purchased here.

2.) Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Cole Swindell, and Old Dominion at Gillette Stadium– Kenny Chesney is usually the biggest show of the summer every year on his own. Nearly 60,000 fans head to Foxboro for the biggest party of the summer and with Kenny taking 2014 off to focus on his music, this year may be the biggest in years. And there’s a reason why Kenny ends his tour at Gillette Stadium every year, because he loves Boston, and New England in general. And he always goes out in style with a longer show and even special guests on occasion. But we already know a few big names who will be joining him at Gillette this year. Names like Jason Aldean and Brantley Gilbert. Both who have headlined their own arena and amphitheater, and stadium tours. So to bring them with Kenny just increases the anticipation of this show. But let’s not forget about Cole Swindell and Old Dominion. Swindell, the current ACM New Artist of the Year will return to Gillette for the second consecutive year and the rising Old Dominion make this show a ’10’ from beginning to end. Don’t miss out on any of the acts- make sure to get in early. You won’t regret it.

Both shows are SOLD-OUT!

1.) The 1st Annual New England Country Music Festival presented by The Harbor Agency– In any other year, number two would be our number one since we LOVE Kenny and the other acts at Gillette, but we are SO proud of ourselves as an organization in far we have come especially when we announced our first music festival that will take place on July 11th at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, NH in partnership with The Harbor Agency. Our festival includes 10 acts from a local, regional, and national level. So we will be bringing New England some national acts while also spotlighting some of the talent that New England possesses. Acts include Alec MacGillivray, Jilly Martin, Ryan Brooks Kelly, The Mallett Brothers Band, North of Nashville plus nationally touring acts Blaire Hanks, Leah Turner, Native Run, Charles Esten from ABC’s Nashville, and headliner Kellie Pickler.

You can get your tickets for the 1st Annual New England Country Music Festival here.
