Montgomery Gentry Lighting Up Country Music With ‘Headlights’

Montgomery Gentry hasn’t released any new music since 2011 but that all changed on September 2, 2014 with the release of ‘Headlights’. Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery don’t just make a return to country music, they kick the door in as only Montgomery Gentry can.

Everybody knows when the summer gets hotter. Everybody going on down by the water, chillin’. Nothing gets rockin’ till the clock says midnight Catch a buzz on honeysuckle moonlight.”

This song is certainly what you’d expect from Montgomery Gentry, who have charted more than twenty singles over the course of their career. The summer might be coming to an end but ‘Headlights’ keeps the party going as it’s infectious lyrics and sound will be heard around bonfires well into the cooler nights this Fall. The guys voices are more powerful than ever and have been sorely missed in today’s country music scene. ‘Headlights’ chorus is one of the best verses I’ve ever heard from the duo and instantly makes you want to grab a cooler, a 30 pack, some friends and find a secluded dirt road.

“Follow those headlights. Down a broken fence line. Take it to the riverside. Point em through the red dust. Keep it in the tire ruts. If you wanna find us. Wanna go all night. Hell yeah, that’s right. Follow those headlights”

‘Headlights’ was written Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero and Tony Martin and produced by Bobby Knox (Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Thomas Rhett, ABC’S Nashville). It will be included on Montgomery Gentry’s highly anticipated debut album with Blaster Records, which will be released in early 2015.

You can download ‘Headlights’ on iTunes here.

You can catch the guys performing a show at Mohegan Sun on September 26th and at the Durham Fair in Durham, CT on September 27th.
