Luke Bryan: ‘One Margarita’ Single Review

Much to the surprise of his fans, on March 13, Luke Bryan released a new, up beat song and lets face it, this is the therapy we all need right now as we’re all living our new normal of social distancing. ‘One Margarita’ takes us right out of our living room to a tropical paradise and you can practically taste the margarita salt! With catchy lyrics and calypso vibes Luke has us all wishing for summer and looking forward to a time when we can all be at the beach with friends again. The fun-loving song talks about putting all your troubles away, letting loose and having a good time one margarita at a time.

Some of my favorite lyrics are /Don’t worry ’bout tomorrow leave all your sorrow out here on the floatin’ dock // One more barefoot round, one more last chance to say, hey seniorita, don’t you think we a salt and a Chesney Song. One Margarita two margarita, three margarita we’ll be gone. Along with Kenny Chesney, Bryan also mentions Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett.

The release of the song was accompanied by a video, filmed during Bryan’s yearly festival, ‘Crash My Playa‘ on the beach of Riviera Cancun, Mexico. Fans will recognize Luke’s wife, Caroline and his mother, Leclaire getting in on the action along with some other familiar faces, Jon Langston, members of Old Dominion and Caylee Hammack all who joined Luke at the 4 day festival.

‘One Margarita’, written by Michael Carter, Matt Dragstrem and Josh Thompson is the latest release from the upcoming album Born Here, Live Here, Die Here and is set to release April 24th. Bryan’s Born Here Live Here Die Here tour is still set to kick off in May and will make stops in New England at Hartford Xfinity Center, Bangor ME, and 2 nights in Gilford, NH.
