On June 7, 2014, George Strait, the undisputed ‘King of Country Music,’ played his last live concert. The show took place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas and was the last stop on his The Cowboy Rides Away tour. This show in Dallas came just a week after his last show in New England which was at Gillette Stadium with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The ‘King’ brought a number of special guests with him to celebrate his final show including Jason Aldean, Ray Benson, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, and Martina McBride. Fans will have the opportunity to relive the show in a two-hour CMT special which will air on August 29th titled ‘George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away.’
Additionally, there will be a 20-song album, titled ‘The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium,’ that will feature some of the most memorable performances from the June 7th live concert.
