Florida Georgia Line Is Teasing Something And We’re Intrigued…

Hit country duo, Florida Georgia Line, has been somewhat quiet over the past few weeks. Maybe it’s because they don’t have an official tour planned and are instead hitting the festival circuit. But this week, the duo has been teasing something on social media, that we can only assume is new music with an accompanying video.  The posts are what we can only describe as black-and-white, old-fashioned photos from what appears to be a farming community. These photos definitely show a ‘simpler’ side to FGL. And it’s definitely a deep contrast to what we’ve come to know about FGL- whose tours are full of pyrotechnics, fog machines, and more dramatics. The photos have captions like ‘Like laugh and love, make a lot out of a little’ and ‘Ain’t no need to complicate it.’

Personally, I hope this is a sign that FGL could be going back to the earlier years of their career with their music. In case you’ve been living under a rock, FGL is one of the more criticized groups in country with many saying that they aren’t ‘country.’ Don’t get me wrong, I understand other people’s opinions, I do. I respectfully disagree. But I will say that I enjoyed FGL’s early work more than their newer stuff. Out of their 3 albums, their debut is my favorite. Seriously, I had ‘Here’s To The Good Times‘ and ‘Anything Goes‘ on repeat for awhile! And their most recent album is my least favorite- except ‘May We All,’ because that’s a JAM! So part of me hopes that the boys are making music that is more like their early stuff as I just think it’s better. And that’s no disrespect to Tyler and BK- I simply enjoyed the earlier sounds more. And these photos don’t really align with their newer music. These photos scream country. And we love it.
