Singer-songwriter and San Antonio native Mike Ryan is taking off with the release of his third full length studio album ‘Blink You’ll Miss It’ on October 20th which has debuted at No. 6 on the iTunes Top Country Albums chart. The new collection of songs describes life, relationships and how the two change over time. With catchy hooks, heart-wrenching stories and pop tendencies, the album is sure to resonate with fans quickly and this album highlights Ryan’s impressive ability to do just that. Music Row called his new music “essential listening,” and Cowboys and Indians pointed out “Singles like ‘New Hometown’ and ‘Sad Song’ offer only a small taste of the overall talent displayed on Blink You’ll Miss It.”
Produced by Brent Anderson, Mike Ryan’s third album is the follow up to his 2014 ‘Bad Reputation’ which yielded three #1 singles on the Texas Music Chart and New Male Vocalist of the Year by Texas Radio. There has been much anticipation behind the release of this new album; “the time is here and I couldn’t possibly be more excited about releasing this record,” Ryan stated. “I’m glad we can finally start sharing it with everyone. We’ve been playing them [songs] for a while now out on the road and getting great fan reactions.”
The seven song record contains all but two tracks co-written by Ryan. The lead single, ‘New Hometown,’ racked up 4 million+ streams on Spotify and premiered on Rolling Stone Country. The single recounts the painful memories of an ex-girlfriend during a visit back home. It was featured by Taste of Country, Sounds Like Nashville and Nash Country Daily. His latest single, ‘Sad Song’ is an emotional ballad being featured on Sirius XM’s The Highway’s Highway Find. Other tracks, like ‘One Way,’ was written by acclaimed writer Chris Stapleton and the final track of the album ‘The Re-Write’ contains a solo appearance by the great Brad Paisley. Ryan has been an artist to Sea Gayle Music Publishing since 2013. His latest chart-topping cut, ‘Last Time for Everything,’ is a song he co-wrote with Brad Paisley, Smith Athnquist, Chris DuBois, and Brent Anderson.
Mike taught himself how to play guitar while in college and has since built an enviable following of dedicated fans. He was influenced early on by his grandfather and his musical ability.
