If you haven’t listened to ‘Woman, Amen’ you are in for a real treat! Dierks Bentley recently released this as the first single off of his ninth studio album, ‘The Mountain.’ This heartfelt track was written by Dierks Bentley, Josh Kear, and Ross Copperman.
‘Woman, Amen’ blends rhythmic drum beats with rocking electric guitars and emotionally-rich lyrics to produce a unique twist on a classic love song. Although the song is written about Bentley’s wife, Cassidy Black, it is also part impassioned prayer. Bentley thanks his wife for all the qualities she gives to him with lyrics such as: She gives me faith, She gives me grace, She gives me hope, She gives me strength, She gives me love. Here, Bentley really captures the positive force, guiding influence, and love that she has had on his life. Bentley goes with a sincere and whole-hearted prayer: So tonight I will fall down on my knees, Cause Lord knows how lucky I am. I’m gonna shout at the top of my lungs, Thank God for this woman, Amen. This song is vastly different from Bentley’s other hits like ‘Somewhere on a Beach,’ ‘Drunk on a Plane,’ and ‘5-1-5-0.’ It shows a more sentimental side of Dierks Bentley that fans are really going to love. Bentley’s vocals are on point with the brilliant lyrics in this captivating piece.
Dierks Bentley’s loyal fans have been patiently waiting the release of his new album ‘The Mountain.’ It is Bentley’s first since his release of ‘Black’ in 2016. According to Billboard Magazine, after playing at the storied Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June of 2017, Bentley developed a deep connection with the area. Because of this connection, Bentley recorded the majority of ‘The Mountain’ in inspirational Telluride. Named for his most recent album, Bentley will begin his Mountain High Tour in 2018 with special guests Brothers Osborne and LANCO. Though there are no New England dates scheduled yet (but you can see Dierks with Kenny Chesney at Gillette Stadium this August), Bentley fans are hoping to see a few added for this summer.
