The first two singles from Dierks Bentley’s ‘Riser’ album have reached number one and Dierks is hoping his new release, ‘Say You Do’ is the third. Bentley released both the single and the music video on Monday. Dierks said the song was one that he loved from the very beginning. ‘Say You Do’ was written by Shane McAnally, and Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey and Trevor Rosen. “I think it’s pretty evident there is a hardcore yearning going on in this song, and personally, it’s something I’ve experienced in the worst of ways in past relationships,” Bentley says of the single. “This song is about wanting something so badly even if it’s not good for you, just wanting that love back, which is something I think everyone can relate to at some point in their life.” The video was shot in Canada and shows Bentley landing his own plane and then driving a motorcycle to a secluded cabin in the woods. It’s there that Bentley chops fire wood, pours two glasses of wine (and a solo drink of whiskey for himself) and waits for his love to arrive, with emotions running high throughout the scenes. It closes out with Bentley waking up alone the next morning. Bentley is currently on his Riser tour with an upcoming show at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. He was also recently nominated for five CMA Awards, the most of any male artist. The nominations include Male Vocalist, Album ( for ‘Riser‘), Music Video (for ‘Drunk on a Plane’), and Song and Single of the Year (for ‘I Hold On’). “I think it’s pretty evident there is a hardcore yearning going on in this song, and personally, it’s something I’ve experienced in the worst of ways in past relationships,” Bentley says of the just-released single. “This song is about wanting something so badly even if it’s not good for you, just wanting that love back, which is something I think everyone can relate to at some point in their life.” [vevo id=”USUV71401411″ mode=”normal”]
