NECM’s Favorite Country Couples

With it being Valentine’s Day, New England Country Music contributing writer, Christina Coleman, put together a list of her favorite couples in country music. Check it out and let us know who your favorite couple in country music is.

Faith and Tim

1.) Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

These two are at the top of our list, because they are the first country couple I can vividly remember listening to growing up.  It was their duets. ‘Let’s Make Love’ and ‘It’s Your Love,’ that made me a fan of the couple.

 2. ) Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

It’s hard to pinpoint what it is we love most about Blake and Miranda, but one of the reasons is how proud they are of each other and each other’s success. The look on Blake’s face whenever he talks about Miranda, or when he watches her perform says it all. Due to their successful careers they have to spend a lot of time apart, but if there is even a 24 hour period that fits into their schedules, Miranda will go straight to Blake whenever the opportunity comes up.

3.) Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood

Like most country stars, Garth and Trisha, (or as Garth calls her, Ms. Yearwood) seem so relatable and like the type of people you can sit and have good conversation with. Their romance story is almost a real life Nashville and who doesn’t love a good love story. Another side note, Trisha Yearwood has had a few episodes on the Food Network and to see Garth help her out in the kitchen is just adorable.

4.) Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrrell

Hillary Scott’s husband may not be in the limelight as much as she is, but Chris Tyrrell is a staple in Lady A’s band. Tyrrell is the group’s drummer, although the two first met in 2010 while on tour with Tim McGraw.

5.) Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams Paisley

Brad and Kimberley first met when Kimberly was the star in Brad’s music video for ‘I’m Gonna Miss Her.’  Twelve years later, the two are still happily married and parents to two children. It was hard to pick our last couple, but Kimberly’s  role in ABC’s Nashville gives her ties to the country music family.
