On July 15, 2016, the Birdseye Lounge in Portsmouth, NH will host an event featuring some of the best singer/songwriters from New England. From Boots To Roots is Presented by New England to Nashville (NETN) NETN is an organization featuring over 800 talented New England musicians and songwriters in their network who perform in both New England and Nashville. The event is being promoted by NEON Music Management, a new company co-founded by Portsmouth native, Amanda Morneault.
Artists from a variety of genres such as country, soul, folk, pop, bluegrass, alternative rock, etc. will be performing their acoustic originals as well as a variety of cover songs. The diversity of music styles at this event is going to be incredible. The evening will end with full performances by the talented new bluegrass/folk/country band Sold Under Sin.
This will be the second event NETN has put on the Birdseye Lounge. Earlier this year, the organization brought ‘Country Night at the Birdseye’ to Portsmouth. Matt Casey, Founder of NETN said “We can’t wait to bring another great event back to Porstmouth. Boots to Roots is something we have done the last few years in Boston and once we saw that our first event at the Birdseye was a complete sell out with people waiting at the door to get in, we knew we had discovered that Portsmouth is full of opassionatte live music fans and we are thrilled to be returning with another event featuring country music, but also something for fans of all other generes as well this time.”
New England to Nashville (NETN) artists performing that night include a huge variety of genres including talented artists such as Portsmouth’s own Sam Robbins (Pop/R&B), Emily Hodges (Folk/Indie), Molly Kupris (Americana/Singer/Songwriter), Caroline Gray (Country/Singer/Songwriter), Steven James (Americana/Rock), Paige Davis (Modern Country), Mickey Lamantia (Traditional/Outlaw Country), Amanda McCarthy (Pop/Alt Rock), Andrew Merzi (Americana/Rock), Ashley Dawn (Blues, Pop), and Alec MacGillivray (Modern Country/Rock).
