“Doctor, you ain’t got a pill. For whatever’s makin’ this world ill. You can’t get forgived inside the store. And peace, it’s a politician’s war…”
With the sound of a guitar and that opening lyric, Garth Brooks has made his return to country music airwaves official. So mark September 3, 2014 down in your calendars as the day an icon came back stronger than ever. This marks his first single released since 2003’s ‘Why Ain’t I Running.’
‘People Loving People’ is the perfect comeback song for Garth as it’s a return to the roots that his music never left. The song has a country rock feel to it and is much different from a majority of the songs now playing on country radio. It’s an uplifting song that has a great message to give to listeners. Especially with the chorus, “Is people loving people. That’s the enemy of everything that’s evil. Ain’t no quick fix at the end of a needle. It’s just people lovin’ people.”
Garth has always had a knack for taking the world’s issues and spinning them into a great country song that his fans can relate to and also help unite people. Never has this been more true than with ‘People Loving People.’ He sings about how it’s up to people like you and I that can rally together and make this world a better place:
“Say I can’t make a difference. In a world so full of hurtin’. But I believe the remedy. Starts right here with you and me.”
With 25 number one singles to his name already, this damn sure could easily be number 26. His new album is rumored to be released this November as has always been a tradition with his releases. And if the rest of the album is even fifty percent as good as ‘People Loving People,’ then we’re certainly in for something special. But then again, Garth Brooks never fails to give the world hope and great music!
